During her time at Cambridge University, she worked on "The Politics of German Peculiarity. American, British and German debates on the Sonderweg, 1933-1968". Since then, she has conducted research at the Hamburg Institute for Social Research and served as Assistant Professor of History at Humboldt University, Berlin.
