Duncan Stuart
Duncan Stuart works on political theory and the history of political thought with a particular focus on ideas of equality and emancipation. In particular Duncan's research is concerned with examining attempts to develop a robust, non-self-undermining theorization of equality and emancipation. The current avenues of investigation are Post-Althusserian Marxism's conceptions of the political and German Idealist understandings of aesthetics. Stuart holds an M.A. in Philosophy from the New School for Social Research.He has taught at The Australian National University, The New School and The Melbourne School of Continental Philosophy.
