Jiayu Deng 鄧佳玉

Deng Jiayu is a Ph.D. candidate in History at the Department of Chinese History and Culture at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her current research focuses on the political thoughts of the Chinese in Singapore and Malaya/Malaysia from 1945 to 1969. More broadly, she is interested in Southeast Asian history, ethnic relations, nation-building, cultural identity, and international relations.
