 Rahul Sagar is a Global Network Associate Professor of Political Science at NYU Abu Dhabi, where he teaches political theory and intellectual history. His research focuses on executive power. His first book *[Secrets and Leaks: The Dilemma of State Secrecy](https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__press.princeton.edu_books_paperback_9780691168180_secrets-2Dand-2Dleaks&d=DwMGaQ&c=WO-RGvefibhHBZq3fL85hQ&r=K0ebY3ucGUuoBmujGDsVvStE0H0k6ar1r90yRqCFtAQ&m=n4KFQWfDwOX8pKxdwCmQqiowfwH37XrR2LJCuWMx3p4swYYTh8oGbJ7FSrYa3amY&s=sn2Zny0rF15hlhLTQ5oH0KlzqPLAeuCXTAwSnCjONQ4&e=)* (Princeton, 2013) received the National Academy of Public Administration’s 2014 Louis Brownlow Award and the Society for the Policy Sciences’ 2015 Myres S. McDougal Prize.

 Over the past decade he has built *Ideas of India*, a database that indexes more than 300,000 essays published in India between 1800-1950.
