 Ying Wu is a Ph.D. candidate in Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) Law School and a Senior Research Associate at SJTU China Institute for Social-legal Studies. She is the leader of the Labor and Migration Research Cluster of the China, Law and Development project at the University of Oxford and is currently affiliated with Institute for Global Law and Policy Harvard Law School as a China-US Scholar. She received her LL.B., B.A. in Economics &amp; J.M. from SJTU, and her LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she is a fellow of the Global Women Leadership Project.

 Ying is a member of the Chinese Bar Association. Previously, she served as a law clerk in the Supreme People's Court of China, a tribunal secretary at Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission and Shanghai International Arbitration Center (SHIAC), and received training from financial institutions to multinationals to the local Congress. She was a Young Ambassador for the International Leadership Foundation and a fellow at the US-Asia Institute Rule of Law Program. As a socio-legal scholar and comparatist lawyer, Ying’s work has addressed the issues of law and global governance, law and political economy, feminist and critical legal approach to business ethics and human rights, and Global China.
