Yixin is a Ph.D. student in political theory at Georgetown University. Her research interests lie in the history of political thought, with a focus on J.S. Mill, Benjamin Constant, and Edmund Burke, particularly in relation to imperialism and the concept of civilization. She is also interested in the intersection of literature and political theory, the self-writing of Victorian intellectuals, the representation of women in Western political thought, and women's life writing.
